Warlords of Mars

STORY

On the newly terraformed iron-rich world of Mars, factions clamor for industrial dominance and global control. Among these, the United Earth Corps fights to save its people from the violent lawlessness of the nomadic tribes that plague the martian landscape.

Unable to conduct aerial assaults due to the enemy's defenses, a ground battle is necessary.

You are a crack-shot soldier operating the "AATV," or Agile All-Terrain Vehicle.

Your mission is to infiltrate the enemy stronghold, destroy their anti-aircraft cannons, and get out alive.

GAME INFO

Warlords of Mars is a vehicle physics game, Created for the Gamemaker Community 50th Game Jam. Theme:Bullseye.  You must drive the AATV through hostile territory, use your machine gun to make precise shots against the enemy, as well as to proceed through physics-based environments. Your ultimate goal is to destroy the enemy's air defenses and destroy the Warlord Leader.

INSTRUCTIONS

The Mouse moves the targeting crosshair for the machine gun

The left Mouse Button fires the machine gun.

While on the ground

A and D or Left OR Right Arrow Keys accelerate and reverse.

W and S to look up and down (optional, but helps you see surrounding enemies)

SPACEBAR OR Right CTRL OR NumPad0 to Jump.

While in mid-air

A and D or Left OR Right Arrow Keys rotate the vehicle clockwise and counterclockwise.

Use this to land strategically on uneven surfaces!

TIPS

You can obtain higher jumps if you jump

near the end of a ramp, so you already have some upward momentum.

There are checkpoints throughout the levels. If you reach one, you will restart there if you are killed.

Keep an eye on your ammo. There is a couple seconds of reload time when you run out of bullets. You are vulnerable during this time.

Gunmen that take cover will not emerge from cover while taking fire, but will emerge if you run out of ammo, so wait until they emerge before shooting.
